At Chinmaya Mission Delhi over 200 people braved the cold winter night and gathered to thank the Lord for the blessings received in the year gone by and to be in His presence as the New Year dawned.

The hall looked magnificent and the altar was resplendent with the presiding deity Lord Vishnu. The shodashopachara puja under the guidance of Swami Prakarshananda began at 10 pm to blowing of the conch and lighting of lamps. As the yajamans performed the Puja at the main alter, the participant joined in with Samashti Puja. As the Puja progressed each and every devotee felt connected with the palpable divine presence. It was indeed the most befitting way to welcome another year.
