Puja and Abhishek – Morning

 

Year after year, Pujya Gurudev is the Eternal Witness of the outpouring of devotion at his pratima at CCWU (Chinmaya Centre for World Understanding). This year too, on February 13, devotees gathered, at this sacred spot with Swami Prakarshananda and Swamini Gurupriyananda, to celebrate the great festival of Mahashivaratri. After a cloudy and windy night, Suyra Devata could not but come out to observe the commencement of the day-long celebrations.

Gurudev’s abhishek was performed to the chanting of Vedic hymns in praise of the Purusha, Narayana and Rudra Bhagavan. The puja concluded with archana of Pujya Gurudev’s 108 Names and aarti. Gurudev, resplendent in his new robes, silently uplifted and blessed the gathering.
