SOARING HIGH : BALA VIHAR SUMMER CAMP

The Bala Vihar Summer Camp 2025 “Unchi Udaan with Hanuman” was held from 18th May to 1st June at the Chinmaya Centre of World Understanding. The camp, with the participation of around 140 children, commenced with a grand inauguration.

Each day, children explored the noble qualities of Hanumanji—such as courage, humility, strength, devotion, and wisdom—and learned how to apply these in their daily lives. Through engaging stories, discussions, and hands-on activities, they absorbed these virtues in an enjoyable and relatable manner.

The camp also included several enriching experiences that complemented the central theme. Children were introduced to Kalari Payattu, an ancient martial art that fosters discipline and agility. Classical dance sessions encouraged cultural expression and grace, while Sanskrit learning provided a glimpse into the beauty and depth of our traditional language.

The grand finale was a heartfelt Matru Pooja ceremony, during which children honored their mothers with traditional puja, prayers, and flowers. This emotional ceremony filled the hall with love, reverence, and gratitude, leaving both parents and children visibly moved and joyful.
