Mahashivaratri, Morning Puja March 4, 2019

Pujya Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda was an ardent devotee of Lord Jagadeeshwara and has now merged with Him. So, it is fitting that Mahashivaratri celebrations commenced at the Guru Mandir on the morning of March 4. Swami Prakarshananda performed Gurudev’s abhishek with the designated yajman to the chanting of Vedic hymns by Brni. Vrinda Chaitanya and the assembled devotees. This was followed by Paduka Puja and archana. As the Chinmaya Ashtottarashata Namavali was chanted, the thoughts of the devotees were steeped in Gurudev’s divine and splendorous personality.  Aarti and prasad concluded the morning homage to the eternal Guru in the form of Lord Shankara – ‘vande bodhmayam nityam gurum sankarupinam’ in the words of Goswami Tulsidas.
